Jackson County Sheriff's Office awarded grant for upgrades
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office will soon have new upgrades thanks to a grant.
The law enforcement agency was recently awarded a $49,976.83 grant through the Arkansas Equipment of Public Safety Equipment Grant

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office will soon have new upgrades thanks to a grant.
The law enforcement agency was recently awarded a $49,976.83 grant through the Arkansas Equipment of Public Safety Equipment Grant.
Several law enforcement agencies received the grant for various departmental needs.
Captain Justin Collom with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office wrote the grant. He said the biggest game-changer will be the dash cameras the department will now be able to install.
“That’ll help provide transparency for the communities we serve. It’ll help reduce departmental liability and it can also be used for convictions in court proceedings,” he said.
