Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has delayed multiple tax and fee deadlines, after severe storms hit numerous counties in northern Arkansas, according to an executive order signed on Thursday.

The order says the deadline for assessing personal property for taxes, originally set for Friday has been suspended through June 30 for Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Fulton, Grant, Greene, Madison, Marion, Nevada, Randolph, Sevier and Sharp counties.

Multiple other suspensions for those counties were included in the order:

  • 10% penalty of all taxes due on all persons and property delinquent in assessment through June 30
  • Quarterly estimated income tax payments due through July 31
  • Fees for identification cards, instruction permits or a duplicate driver’s license through August 31
  • Payment of a $10 fee for expedited title processing service through August 31
  • Interest and penalties for failure to timely register a vehicle or renew a vehicle registration through August 31

“Strict compliance with certain statutes would hinder necessary action in coping with the emergency,” the order said.
