Press Release

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has released a Crawford County Sheriff’s App available on the App Store and Google Play. The CCSO App will provide the community with readily available public safety information and emergency alerts. Features in the app consist of real-time jail intake reports, emergency alerts, active shooter protocols including videos and safety information, plus a statewide database of all registered sex offenders and missing persons. The App also includes a list of shelters and hotlines, county directory, links of interest and more.

“Some of the best features of the new app is the ability to see registered sex offenders within a five (5) mile radius of where your standing using augmented reality anywhere in the state. We have kids knocking on doors year round for school fundraisers, sports team and even Halloween. This app now lets mom’s and dad’s have a better understanding of who’s door their kid is knocking on. The app also provides better awareness of missing persons and allows users to call the jurisdictional agency per missing person case, which we hope will lead to the discovery of more missing persons,” said Sheriff Daniel Perry
