Cleveland County Telephone gets grant for broadband and fiber-optic service
Cleveland County Telephone has received $35 million in grants and loans to bring fiber optic and broadband service to the county. According to the Cleveland County Herald, the county has the highest number of unserved/underserved locations in Southeast Arkansas.

According to the Cleveland County Herald, the county has the highest number of unserved/underserved locations in Southeast Arkansas.
The money is coming from the USDA’s Reconnect Program which was designed to connect residences, farmers and business owners to reliable high-speed internet in 18 states.
Arkansas Senators John Boozman and Tom Cotton and Representatives Bruce Westerman and Rick Crawford served as sponsors of the Cleveland County Telephone application.
